Is your hair CLEAR like crystal CLEAR with CLARIFYING shampoo?

Clarifying Shampoo Benefits:

  • Clarifying shampoo ensures the removal of product build-up that comes with using styling gels, mousse and hair spray.
  • Make sure about use of clarifying shampoo after swimming to get rid of the mineral and chemical build up in the hair such as chlorine. Read my post about CHLORINE
  • Shampoos and other hair styling products leave residue to the hair that will make it look flat. The product build-up must be washed out of the hair at least once a month with clarifying shampoo.
  • I also recommend this before any chemical service 2 days prior to service.

Sun and Pools will damage hair in the Summer

SUN IS A BALL OF FIRE~!

Sun is the cause of many bad things. Even though it is many people do not take the proper precautions before tannning, not using hats or even not protecting their children. I recommend no sun at all but if you must wear sunscreen. Protection for your hair is a must. Wear hats especially at the beach. Sun can really burn your hair. There are also many products that have sunscreen protection in them like for example:

Redken’s UV Rescue Shimmering Defense is a creamy, citrus scented potion that leaves a shiny shield on your locks to protect against color dehydration and drying sun rays.

What about pools? God knows I can be all day in the pool with a glass of wine ok well many glasses of wine. Chlorine is what I want to talk about. Chlorine is a chemical that inside the pool for sanitary purposes, but it is also very damaging for the hair. I am posting a few good hair tips that you can follow for more healthier hair before the pool.

  • wet hair before entering pool with leave in conditioner - this will help prevent hair from soaking up the harsh, chlorinated pool water.
  • you can wear a cap. I know they are not cute. You can thank me later though ;) lol
  • Shampoo your hair as soon as you get out the pool. This will help to remove most of the chlorine before it can do great damage. * A clarifying shampoo is not necessary unless a green hue is on your hair.
  • last but not least maintaining hair trimmed 4 to 8 weeks is ideal! I can cut it for you just call me for an appointment!
  • Bonus Remeber there are no cure for split ends besides cutting it off. So let's take care of our hair ladies.

Finley Hair Powder Review

It comes in 4 shades and $18 a bottle.

I am excited to blog about this product because of one reason  only. I love products that do what  they say they do! Simple as that. You know after 2 or 3 days of you last hair wash your hair starts getting oily? Well there may be some days you just either to tired to wash and redo your hair or you got a last minute invite. If that is the case then you must use this product for in between shampoos.

Like I say "Just one more day"

How to use: It is a powder that you use directly on your hair from the bottle atleast an inch away from scalp and brush away. It revives dull and oily hair in between washes. Hair looks fresh for just one more day ;)

1. black
2. brunnette
3. blonde
4. white.

Beauty Etiquette and Rules:

Some Rules apply before getting some beauty services done. Trust me, I know!!!

Let's start on the top of "Tipping your stylist"? What do you tip your manicurist, your hair stylist, etc? Do you know what to tip them? The really is not specific amount to tip but for a quick mani to a haircut  I say it can range from 15 to 20% . I must say if you can afford a $200 tip in a classy place than you can tip a nice tip also! (My opinion)

Before Waxing Services

Honesty is appreciated and can determine end results before starting waxing service. Using certain facial cremes like Retin-a will make skin more sensitive. Stop using it days before service. Your tech must do a theral consultation.

If your getting an eyebrow or a bikin wax just come in the salon the way it is. Do not trim or shave before you come in. The tech will take care of that for you. If you are having a brazilian wax shyness will not help you. It requires nudity from waste down and trust me we are not worried about how big your butt hole is lol, we service to get you out of there as fast we can. Time is money for me!

Get out of the kitchen if you can't stand the HEAT!

Heat is like fire!

I really educate my clients on the importance of protecting your hair against the heat. Flat irons, curling iron and hair dryers can get as hot as 475 degrees.

Heat Styling is a leading cause in damaged hair. Heat breaks hair's cuticle and withdraws moisture leaving hair dry and damage.

*So what is the solution for heat damage hair you might be asking? The answer is an amazing short cut or atleast cutting all damaged part off!

Preventions: I am listing a few of *many
  1. lowering the heat to your flat irons
  2. wearing a hat on sunny days
  3. more spray tanning less tanning beds
  4. using keratin and moisture leave-in contioners before a blow dry and then using a heat protection products before the hot tools
What are some of your preventions? Share with me and comment them.
