Silk Pillowcase VS Cotton Pillowcase Who Wins?

Have you noticed creases on your face in the morning! This is a dead give away as to which side of your face you were sleeping. While the creases usually go away later on in the day, they are an indication of the damage that is done to your face when sleeping on a cotton pillowcase, and as we get older, our skin gets more fragile, our collagen and elastin grown less resilient and the sleep lines take longer to disappear, eventually turning into permanent wrinkles.

After researching this for the past month, I’ve come to the conclusion that silk pillowcases are where it’s at. Those sleep lines turn into permanent wrinkles. Because silky fabric is so soft and silky, your face glides. It’s not causing friction and causing sleep lines. Silk’s naturally hypoallergenic, because of the tight weave between the silk fibers, it doesn’t allow dust mites and other nasty things to get in there. It’s actually been tested and proven that silk is naturally hypoallergenic. And when it comes to cotton, it creates friction, which is why when you sleep on cotton you can wake up with sleep lines. If you’re putting those really expensive skin care products on your skin at night, where do you think that product is going? That product is actually getting absorbed into your cotton pillowcase.”

Sleeping on silk does not only apply to wrinkles it also applies to hair.

Sleeping on Silk can help prevent thinning of the hair. Cotton causes more friction disrupting hair follicles as we move in our sleep leading to hair breakage and split ends. Because of its special weave, Silk Pillowcases will prevent hair from tangling as we move in our sleep, they will also help keep our hairstyle. Hair treated by bleaching, highlighting, colouring, chemical perms, blow drying and curling or straightening tongs are especially susceptible to breakage. For braided, chemically treated or normal hair the use of Silk Charmeuse pillowcases reduces hair breakage, helps maintain proper moisture balance, protects hairstyles and eliminates most tangling. Silk Charmeuse is more comfortable and cooler than cotton and contributes to a good nights sleep!

My Top 6 Favorite Beauty Products For December 2015

It's no secret that I'm a total product junkie. I love trying new products and searching out the best pieces from each makeup, skin and hair line. People are always asking me what my favorite products are, so I thought I'd put together a list of my favorite beauty steals!

L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara, in Blackest Black but I also use Carbon Black— THE HOLY GRAIL OF MASCARAS. This is the end all-be-all for me in terms of mascara. It's buildable, doesn't flake, and is a true black. Plus, it's less than 10 dollars. This is my favorite mascara of all time and believe me, I've tried them all.

My favorite makeup remover wipes. This one gets off even stubborn waterproof makeup. The smell is amazing and leaves your skin feeling soft as well. A must buy. It cost me $1.00 at Big Lots.

I have tried many contouring and Highlights palettes and this is the grand winner. I so love this palette and it is from IT Cosmetics. It has the contour on the right, highlight top left and a lovely pinkish blush. It is so natural but so pigmented. It is a 10 star for me!

The best budget formula that I’ve tried. In terms of properties it’s most matte but sorta dewy, medium to full coverage and it’s pretty long lasting stuff. The shade range is good and with brush or fingers it works equally well. A good one to throw on when I need coverage, but want things to look nice and fresh.

I love it!

Moisturize Moisturize Moisturize!!! I can stress it enough. Keep your skin moisturize and I love Murad Ultimate Moisture for the face. My fav!

For over processed hair and to add protein use Extreme by Redken. It does wonders on fragile hair.

This concludes my top favorite for December 2015 stay tuned for more posts and reviews from me.

Savannah Bee Company for Skin Care

Savannah Bee Company isn’t just an online marketplace to buy honey.  There are actual physical shops where it looks like you can taste varieties of artisan honey (that Savannah Bee Co. harvested from the bees themselves) along with wine, plus there’s a huge luxurious skincare section and they sell gourmet treats.

Savannah Bee Royal Jelly Body Butter  Let's talk about the packaging shall we? I thought this packaging was perfect. I found these to be high quality, luxury body care. The consistency of this body butter actually feels a bit Jelly-ish to me initially until I rub it into my skin. It has really nice moisturizing properties and smells fantastic.

Honey is traditionally used for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Packed with natural and healing ingredients such as beeswax, honey, propolis, royal jelly, chamomile and myrrh, it’s no wonder this body butter truly feels as smooth as butter. Since trying this body butter I have made it a part of my after shower routine. My skin feels soft and moisturized. I would recommend this product to anyone battling dry skin!

I am obsessed with this butter and I need to own them all!

Lip Balm They go on so super smooth and feel really silky with no stickiness. It melts on contact with your lips and feels very lightweight, yet intensely moisturizing at the same time. If I use it in the winter, my lips don't get chapped at all!
