Gisell's Hairstyle pick of the Month - January 2013

Throught the entire year of 2013, I will be posting a monthly post on my personal choice of the best hairstyle of the month. I always enjoy myself looking at the hairstyles so for the next 11 months you will see my monthly favorites. For the month of January, I chose this new hair style/cut from Halle Berry. It is not too short, but was kept long enough to create more than a simple look.

What do you guys think? Is the cut hot or not?

Split Ends Treatments and Cures

Would you be mad if I told you the only way to get rid of split ends is to cut them off? Well, yes it is true. :( There is no cure for split ends. Now, I really don’t want you to be mad, so I am going to tell you some information so you do not have to cut to many inches off at once.

When the natural oil from our scalp fails to reach the tips, it can lead to the development of split ends. There are many reasons for our hair becoming dry - washing your hair with hot water, overexposure to extreme weather conditions, sun, and pollution, and not oiling and conditioning the hair regularly. Also, if you subject your hair to harmful chemicals in shampoos, conditioners, hair colors, and dyes, and blow dryers, it will strip away the moisture from the hair. You must eliminate all these factors. In addition, you must drink lots of water to keep your hair hydrated, and do not wash your hair everyday. I recommend to wash every 2 days, or you can use dry shampoo in between. You also need to condition your hair every time you wash it.

I also recommend Lucenza from Tec Italy. It is a split end treatment. It works as a final touch like a serum. When you are done styling your hair you apply this to the ends. Lucenza is light fresh scent treatment that reconditions, shines natural looking, repairs and prevents split ends. Offers great protection against sunlight and free radicals. Specially formulated for chemically treated hair, is the final touch to the style. Apply 3-4 drops on wet or dry hair. I personally use at the end and I have never used on damped hair.

Last but not least make sure you trim your hair regularly apprx every 4 months if you are leaving it grow longer and 6-8 weeks if maintaing your current style.

    DIY: Home Acne Mask

I want to share this post with the whole world. This post will benefit people with acne problems. I am one of the lucky ones that does not have this problem so I want everyone else to be lucky as well. With oily skin and acne, you're probably not always in love with your skin. But oily skin isn't all bad. I mix this home mask weekly for my daughter. She does have acne problems, but the next day it shows a major difference on her skin, much clearer!

I want you to mix a small cup of milk and oatmeal together to a thick paste just like the pic below

After you mix the both ingredients together to a paste apply on your face about 15 minutes. The milk is an exfoliator and the oatmeal is an antiseptic. Perfect combination to work on oily faces. Which means that oily faces brakes out more on some people.

Please try this and let others know. Share on your social medias, and follow me :)  Let me know how it works on you. I hope you enjoy this information.

    Thank you
