Hair problems: no VOLUME, dry at the ENDS, & oily ROOTS

Before I start this post I want to confirm I am a Professional Cosmetologist for 10 years. So I call myself a beauty expert :) which I love it!

I recieved a question via twitter from a lady having no volume in her hair so here is my post on this topic.

You are probably shampooing your hair everyday, and that can strip away natural oils (making hair dry), so your scalp over produces oil to make up for it. Shampoo every other day instead, like I do, and follow with conditioner to the middle of the hair to ends. Use dry shampoo in between hair washes, dry shampoos cuts oils out and gives volume at the same time. It is important to use a "light conditioner" and do not apply at the oily roots or you can even get away not conditioning your roots if they are really oily, just applying conditioner at the middle to ends of the hair... For really dry ends after you leave the shower and towel dry hair you can use a leave in conditioner.  Remember use leave in conditioner from the middle to the ends of your hair. Also take in consideration is important to use hair products for your hair type. This make a huge difference....

Follow my blog, I have more great posts about conditioners and other problems.

Thanks for reading

  1. I need to remember to only put the conditioner in from the middle to end, I always put it through all my hair.

  3. Thank you so much for the tips! I used to wash my hair every day, but it ironically wasn't doing any good to my hair! I stopped washing every day, and made it a habit to do it every other day. That made all the difference.

By the way, it's been brought to my attention that many people don't see my posts from my blog on their feed anymore, and it could be because I changed my URL. I know you're already a follower of mine, but you probably don't see my posts on your feed. If I could please ask you to head on over to my blog, unfollow it then re-follow it, and then you should be able to see my posts in your feed again! I'd really appreciate it :)

    It's www.hudasbeauty.blogspot.com Thanks so much!

  5. Massage coconut oil thoroughly unto your scalp and hair, leave it for half an hour then rinse it with warm water. You can do this for once to thrice a week. The oils and proteins found in coconut oil can strengthen hair and protect it from losing protein, which causes hair breakage and hair loss.
